Latest Update 23rd March 2020
Dear Valued Guests,
Following the statement given by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon yesterday, 22 March, we would like to confirm that we are remaining open and making ourselves available only to support the essential workers keeping this country running during these unprecedented times.
More so than ever they need our support. In remaining open and for their and our staff’s safety, we will of course be following the social distancing guidelines as well as restructuring our food and beverage offerings to adhere to the protocols required.
If you are an essential worker then please call us directly for our priority customer reduced rates.
If you are a leisure guest and have a booking with us, please contact us to discuss your cancellation/re-book options and we will also be contacting as many of you as possible over the coming days/weeks.
We would like to thank you for your continued understanding at this difficult time.
11th March 2020.
We appreciate that with regular news stories and updates about COVID-19 coronavirus there are questions that our guests may have.
We are pleased to state that there are currently no travel restrictions in place for visitors travelling to Scotland or England.
However, should future visitors from any of the affected international countries need to cancel their travel to any of our hotels, we advise you to contact the hotels to re-schedule later in the year or agree a course of action that is agreeable to both parties.
The health and safety of all our guests and staff is our primary concern and priority. We at Strathmore Hotels would therefore like to inform you about the extra health and safety measures we are taking for this situation; this includes but is not limited to:
- Hand sanitisers in public spaces
- Increased disinfection frequency of sanitary facilities, public area surfaces etc.
- Focused disinfection of any shared items including door handles, window handles, room keys, lift buttons, buffet tools etc.
- The removal of daily newspapers
- Increased signage to improve the awareness of ‘Catch it. Bin it. Kill it’ ethos
- Back of house areas and staff subject to increased vigilance and hygiene operations
We are of course keeping a watching brief on the ongoing situation and committed to following all current advice. Should this change we will advise our guests as necessary.
We look forward to welcoming you.
